Jewelry Care & Materials

Can I wear your pieces if I have sensitive skin?

Our pieces are made of precious materials that do not contain common allergens such as nickel, so they are very safe for most people.

Even though, a reaction is possible because climate and body oils can also affect the way our skin reacts to metals.

In those rare cases where our jewelry doesn't work for you, do not worry, we accept returns and exchanges.

How do I care for my jewelry?

We use precious metals only from reliable sources to make sure each piece will be long lasting. With a simple care routine you can help your jewelry retain it's shine.

• Everyday Routine

Make up, skin products and body oils accumulate during everyday wear. At night, when you take off your piece, rinse well in lukewarm water. Dry it off completely and store inside the provided anti-tarnish bag that came inside your box.

NOTE: If you store your jewelry damp it will cause it to lose it's shine.

We recommend sleeping without your jewelry to minimize it's exposure to sweat and body oils.

• Deep Cleaning Routine

Every dozen wears or if your piece was exposed to a lot of chemicals such as sunscreen or heavy make up we recommend that you give it a deep clean.

- Take a small bowl, add warm water and mild soap.

- Submerge your piece for about 3-4 minutes.

- Take an extra soft toothbrush and gently brush your entire piece. Focus on the chain and closing components and try to avoid the pendant as it could scratch.

- Rinse well in warm water and dry it off completely.

What metals is your jewelry made of?

All of our jewelry is made of 100% precious metals. They are sourced only from certified vendors that offer high quality, made to last products and can guarantee authenticity.

These metals are perfect for sensitive skin and we offer them in three options.

Sterling Silver

It is a mixture made of 92.5% solid silver and 7.5% copper. Copper is added to
strengthen the silver and enhance it's appearance.

Gold Filled (sometimes called Gold Fill)

Gold filled means that a layer of solid gold is heat bonded to a base core using extreme pressure. That base core is usually a high quality jeweler's brass.
Gold filled jewelry has almost 100 times more gold than the common gold plated jewelry.
It is the next best to solid gold and allows a perfect balance between quality and affordability.

Rose Gold Filled

It is made in the same principal as the gold filled jewelry. The only difference is that a small amount of copper is added for the stylish rosy pink hue.

Does your jewelry contain Nickel?

We are extremely cautious when sourcing our materials and guarantee that none of our pieces contain nickel.

Can Gold turn my skin green?

It is very uncommon, but for people that live in tropical climate or have extremely sensitive skin this can happen.

It is usually caused by metal abrasion which means that teeny tiny particles of gold have been removed from the surface of your jewelry. Therefore exposing the base core that contains non precious metal like copper. That copper core can cause light discoloration.

Again, this is extremely rare occurrence and for the most part 99% of all people with sensitive skin can wear gold jewelry without any problems.

What does "gold-filled" / "gold-fill" mean?

Gold filled means that a layer of solid gold is heat bonded to a base core using extreme pressure. That base core is usually a high quality jeweler's brass.

Can I swim with or wet your jewelry?

We use only precious metals to create our jewelry pieces and a light splash of clean water like rain or sweat will not ruin it.

However we recommend to make sure you do not leave it or store it wet. Always wipe it with a soft cloth and do not expose it to things like heavy make up, hair products or chlorinated water.

We also include detailed care tips with our pieces so if you decide to gift it to a friend, they will also know how to care for it.
